Mike Flynn: Good Luck
"I'll always be grateful to Paul Jewell and Wigan Athletic for taking a chance on me and giving me the chance to play League football. I've loved every minute of my time at the JJB and although I didn't play as much as I would have liked to, I certainly gave my all every time I pulled on the club's shirt.

"I'm really excited about this move and I see it as a great chance to establish myself at this level. I hope I can play a major part in helping Gillingham stay in the Championship, but I will always keep my eye on Wigan's results and I desperately hope that they win promotion this season as the lads deserve it.

"I'd like to thank everyone at the club for making my stay at the JJB so enjoyable and I'd also like to thank the club's fans for the support that they gave me during my time at the club too. I'm really sad to be leaving but this opportunity was too good to turn down and it also gives my family and I greater security which is important.

"The two and a half year contract means that I can concentrate fully on my football and give my all to try and help Gillingham out of the bottom three. It's an exciting time for me and my family and though I'm totally focussed on Gillingham now, I will always look back with great affection on my time at Wigan Athletic and I hope the club continues it's great progress long into the future."

Good luck to Flynny from everyone connected with wiganer.net
