Figueroa set for Liverpool move

Maynor Figueroa ıs being strongly linked with a move to Liverpool as Roy Hodgson settles into the Anfield hotseat.

Figueroa joined the Latics from Deportivo Olimpia in his native Honduras and has become a big success at left back.

Steve Bruce showed strong interest in the full back shortly after his switch to Sunderland but the powerful defender signed a new contract with the Latics.

It now seems only a matter of time before a move away from Wigan is confirmed as an agent of Figueroa has been quoted by the Daily Mirror as saying: "Just a few details remain before we confirm the signing."

A fee in the region of £9 milliion has been discussed as Stoke City are also interested.
