Enjoy Antonio for final games says Bruce

Valencia has flouished since joining from Villareal in 2006 and is now one of the best wingers players in the Premier League. Many say that a move to Manchester United is already a done deal and Bruce has now admitted that he cannot keep Valencia at the club. The interest in Valencia shows how much the club has grown. Real Madrid were lining up a move for the winger in January which just shows Wigan can attract the quality, whilst players are developing though. If the club continues to sign quality players like this and sell them on for a profit, then Premier League football should continue to be played at the DW Stadium for years to come.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Bruce said "We are Wigan, we know what we are and that's the difficulty," he said. "You produce a good side and the big boys keep coming and nicking them and it becomes even harder. If somebody else wants to buy the next one - I keep reading about Valencia - it is inevitable, but we know that. "We've seen enough of him to know he is going to be a really good player."

The search is on to find a replacement for Valencia with a number of players linked with moves to Wigan in recent weeks including Ryan Babel who whould be an ambitious transfer target.
