Ellington linked with another reunion

Despite claiming that he was furthering his career with the Albion, Ellington has never really settled in Midlands and has been restricted in the number of appearances he has made.

Thus come around every transfer window and he is touted a move back to the club where he made his name. This time around and agent Tony Finnigan has said: "I'm sure Nathan would really welcome a return to Wigan."

Nathan Ellington: Moved on to better things
A fee of £3 million is being spouted again, but for a striker who cannot get into a Championship first team, let alone bag the goals, is surely wide of the mark.

Many forgiving Wigan fans would welcome a return for Ellington, but it was not so long ago that the Duke blamed the Latics for his exit. Back in August 2005, the striker said: "I had the feeling that being a quiet sort of a fellow, they were taking advantage of me. This is a move in the right direction. Playing for a manager like Bryan Robson will be a great thing for me to do."

And as a result, many supporters do not want to see him back at the club, and would rather see him ply his trade as a second half subsitute in the Championship.

Surely a move for the impressive Diomansy Kamara would make more sense?

Meantime, Mike Pollitt is being linked with a host of chasing Championship clubs as he bids to play first team football for the final years of his career.

Leighton Baines continues to be linked with Newcastle, and also Liverpool for a fee of £7 million, whilst Lee McCulloch's move to Rangers could be in doubt with the Scottish club strapped for cash.

On the incoming front, Antonio Valencia will hopefully make his loan move permenant, Levante's Riga Mustapha, a winger, is being linked with a host of Premiership sides, and Arsenal defender Joe O'Cearuill is being touted as De Zeeuw's replacement.
