Edman and Sib in line for Derby starts

Swedish international left back Edman has been injured for the short time he has been with the club, but now he is fully recovered and likely to start at left full back with Kilbane moved further up the flank.

Bruce said: "Killer has done fantastically well at left-back but I'd love to push him one place up the pitch. Erik was very unfortunate to suffer his injury so soon after he joined, so it will be nice to have him available for action.

"The problem for Edman is he now hasn't played for eight-and-a-half weeks, and it's similar for Hagen because the season in Russia ended in early December."

The only injury worry for Bruce is Ryan Taylor who will be out for a few weeks let with a rib injury. "Taylor is the only injury we have at the moment. "It looks like the muscle has come away from the bone in his ribs so obviously he is still very sore. The injury will repair itself, it just needs time. I would expect to be without Taylor for at least another couple of weeks," said Bruce.

Meantime, Antoine Sibierski scored the winner at Pride Park against Derby back in January and he could be in line for a starting place with the goals having dried up for Bent, King and Heskey recently.

Bruce added: "Sibierski is a very good player with bags of experience. I think he could be the catalyst for us in out bid to stay in the Premiership.

"The big thing with Sibierski is the fact we have to get him into a strong position where he's not missing key games due to niggling injuries."
