Cywka and Kuspisz to get first team chance

By Paul Farrington
Updated Thursday, 29th October 2009

Polish duo Tomasz Cywka and Tomasz Kuspisz are set to be given first team opportunities with the Latics after the jail sentence handed to Marlon King today.

The Polish under 21 internationals are both forward players. Kuspisz impressed during last year's Carling Cup, netting the fourth in a 4-0 win over Notts County last term.

Cywka meanwhile impressed as he came on in the second half of the club's FA Cup defeat at White Hart Lane last January. He did however suffer a bad knee injury towards the tail of last term but is now fully recovered.

Tomasz Cywka: Set to profit from King's mistake

It is expected that Cywka will go into the first team squad for Saturday's trip to Portsmouth, whilst Kuspisz is also an outsider to make the bench.

Latics fans are certainly ready to see the duo in first team action after being impressed with their performances for the reserves.
