Farnborough were unable to cause possibly the biggest shock in F.A. Cup history when they travelled to Highbury to play Arsenal. Instead a second string Arsenal eleven took the game comfortably 5-1 with Rocky Baptiste getting the glory for 'Boro.

Gillingham, lead by an inspirational Andy Hessenthaler came back from from a goal down to earn a deserved replay with Leeds at Elland Road. Mark Viduka saw red in that game for a disgusting elbow on the hard working player-manager.

Rochdale celebrate after beating Coventry 2-0
Local rivals Rochdale had a great result in front of over 9,000 fans at Spotland. They beat First Division Coventry City with goals from Paul Connor and former Latic Gareth Griffiths. Griffiths scored possibly the goal of his career with a thumping header from player manager Paul Simpson's corner.

Millwall almost came up with a Cup shock when they took the lead at St Mary's. 36 year-old Steve Claridge was first to react in the Saints box. However Kevin Davies equalished to force a reply. Davies had been on loan at the New Den earlier in the season.

Watford got the other upset. They beat West Brom 1-0, who fell at the JJB in the Worthington Cup earlier in the season.

Giggs and Beckham celebrate Giggs' goal.
Manchester United proved their credentials with a 6-0 hammering of the Hammers. Goals from Giggs (2), Van Nistelrooij (2), P Neville and Solksjaer saw the Red's through.

Meanwhile after suffering our first defeat in 21 league games at the hands of Swindon Town, the Latics could take comfort from the fact that only Crewe took advantage and closed up some ground.

Cardiff City lost 1-0 to then, bottom club Huddersfield. Andy Booth got the goal in the 80th minute. A huge victory for the Terriers and a massive defeat for struggling Cardiff.

In the game of the day in division two Oldham lost to Crewe. Fitz Hall saw a some-what suspicious red card, before Crewe took the game 3-1 to close the gap behind ourselves to nine points.

Roberts: Scored for City at the weekend.
Bristol City could only muster a one-all draw with lowly Stockport County. Latics-linked Luke Beckett got the County goal before Stockport were reduced to ten-men. City took advantage and equalised through young striker Christian Roberts.

Here's to beating Mansfield.
