Chimbonda said: "Pyschologically that first game was a massive bonus for us. It gave us a sense of belief that we can match them
"Chelsea are the best club side in Europe, but there's no fear going into this game. It's an extra motivation knowing we'll be coming up against some of the best players in the world.
"It will help us to raise our game and it's a challenge we're all relishing. We never go into a game believing we are going to lose.
"We're all aware of how difficult it will be. But a point at Chelsea will be fantastic, we've got to be realistic and believe we can do it.
"We've had three defeats in a row, but no one here is dis-heartened. There would be no better place to bring the run to an end than Chelsea."
Meanwhile the glove-wearing right back was quick to reaffirm his commitment to Wigan Athletic after recent transfer rumours.
He added:"I have heard about the rumours, but I'm happy at Wigan and it's not something I'm contemplating."
