Camara to miss start of season

Henri Camara: Knee Injury
Camara's performance of recent times have been disappointing, and he has missed most of the club's pre-season.

There are rumours that the player is simply unhappy and wants to leave the club for Parisian club PSG.

Fellow Latics striker Antoine Sibierski is also facing a race to be fit after he picked up a thigh strain.

Both injuries have added to pressure on manager Chris Hutchings to bring in another striker to improve his options up top.

In other news, it is unclear as to whether the club are going to accept Sheffield United's £1.5 million bid for midfielder Kevin Kilbane. Rob Hulse could be moving the other way if any agreement is to be reached.

Leighton Baines is said to be the subject of an improved offer from Everton. The revised bid is said to be worth £5.5 million cash with the Latics holding out for £6m.

Full back Paul Robinson's move to the club has hit an eleventh hour snag with the 28 year old failing a medical and the Latics are now demanding a pay-as-you play deal, rather than the £2 million up front that was originally agreed.

And finally, Mancheser City forward Darius Vassell is the latest player to be linked with a move.
