Camara Race

Last updated : 09 February 2006 By Paul Farrington
Manager, Paul Jewell is hopeful of a return for Camara by Friday afternoon. He said: "We are exploring avenues to get Henri (Camara) back in the North West for Friday afternoon."

The Senegalese squad are set to fly to Paris tonight after their game with Nigeria in the third/fourth place playoff.

Jewell continued: "The latest I've heard is that the entire Senegal team are flying to Paris today (Thursday 9th February) and we will then look to get him to Manchester on Friday.

Henri Camara
"I've not had anything concrete to say this will defiantly be happening, but obviously if it does then he's got a great chance of being involved in the game against Liverpool."

Camara arrived as a second half substitute for the Senegalese in the 70th minute. Nigeria won the game 1-0.

His arrival back into the Wigan starting eleven would see Camara's third game in a week and may explain his absence from the Senegal starting eleven.

Wigan Athletic v Liverpool is live on Sky Sports at 12.45 on Saturday. The game is a complete sell out.
