Roger Espinoza has joined on a permenant basis from Sporting Kansas City whilst Angelo Henriquez has joined on loan from Manchester United. Expected to join them is Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Joel who's loan switch is expected to be confirmed in the next few days.

However these three additions are not enough for Latics boss Roberto Martinez who has a further transfer in mind.

Although keeping his cards close to his chest the Spaniard revealed he is prepared to see this one go right to deadline day to make a further addition.

“We want to bring in one more outfield player during this window, and that is where most of our work is focused on,” Martinez told the Evening Post.

“I would feel then that we would be fully equipped to handle the second part of the season.

“It’s not something that is going to happen overnight – I think it might go all the way to the end of the window. But we are prepared to wait as long as it takes, and I would be satisfied with one more body on board that we would be in perfect shape.”
