Bruce offers Camara chance

Camara had a fantastic first season in the Premier League for the Latics but has struggled to recapture his form and suffered from a lack of opportunities with the Hammers last term.

However, with his return to the JJB expected this summer, Latics boss Bruce has moved quickly to state that the pacey striker will be given a fair chance to impress.

Bruce told the Wigan Evening Post: "Since becoming manager here I've never clapped eyes on Henri because he was at West Ham. If needs be, he can come back here. If that happens I will sit down and talk with the lad.

"Henri is a player I've always quite liked when watching him from From Back Page afar, but obviously I've not seen him here. We'll see what happens over the summer and take things from there."

Camara was not expecting a second chance with the Latics and has already asked his agent to seek a move elsehwhere. The diplomatic stance offered by Bruce could well be enough to win over the Senegalese striker. The smart money would be on a move abroad however.
