It's the news that will have delighted most Wigan fans with Bramble and Boyce committing their future to the club with speculation linking both players with moves to other clubs at some point over the summer.

Bramble was heavily linked to join up with Steve Bruce at Sunderland but this news will surely quash any more speculation.

Boyce was linked with newly promoted Wolves after contract negotiations took longer than expected but in the end everything was signed and sealed and Boyce has committed his future to the club.

Speaking to the club's website, manager Roberto Martinez spoke of his joy about the deals.

"Both are at a great moment in their careers and I think they're best years are still to come.

"We're very lucky to have players of that calibre."

Titus Bramble also spoke about how delighted he was to sign a new deal with the club.

"I've been really happy here, and I feel really settled," said Bramble.

"I never wanted to go anywhere else and I'm really looking forward to the new season. These are exciting times for the club and I'm glad to be a part of it."

Emmerson Boyce added "I've been impressed with the new manager and he has brought a lot of energy into the club with him.

"Swansea received a lot of plaudits last season about how well they played and you can only assume he wants to bring that style of play to Wigan - I'm really happy to be a part of it."

This sign of commitment may tempt others to make a statement about their future with the club regarding speculation, Paul Scharner and Lee Cattermole both the subject of transfer talk.
