Baines struggling with Toffees

Certainly a fans favourite during his time with the Latics, many were sad to see Baines leave in the summer, but wished him well.

A series of ankle and hamstring injuries have limited Baines' first team appearances to just 14 games from a possible 41 for the Toffees.

However manager David Moyes insists there is a future for Baines with Everton. The former Preston boss said: "We think the world of him (Baines) and he is going to be our left-back for a long time to come. But, just at the present time, for different reasons, he is finding it hard to get in.

"He has picked up one or two niggling injuries and that has cost him. But I can see him being Everton's left-back for many years."
