Leighton Baines: Ready for the run in
The outcome of the game will go a long way to deciding who is relegated at the end of the season, and although it's not what the Wigan team are used to, Baines and his team-mates know what they need to do.

He told the Wigan Observer: "We knew that this game against West Ham was always going to be a big one. We're in a relegation battle and it's different to what we've been used to.

"But it's a good time to show a bit of character and show things that perhaps the players who have been here over the last few years haven't needed to show.

"It's all about stepping up now and all being men. It's been in our own hands all season and we've not been in the bottom three all season. We've got three more games to ensure we don't end up in there at any point."

After a disappointing season for the club, Baines is hoping that the relegation battle doesn't continue into the last day of the season at Sheffield United. He is hoping the situation is resolved at the Middlesbrough game a week on Saturday.

Baines spoke about the need to get something from Bramall Lane: "Ideally that won't be the situation and we will be home and dry by then.

"But maybe we'll have to go and get something at Sheffield United and that's something you've got to start preparing yourself for."
