Arsenal without six regulars

Of the six injured, midfielder Cesc Fabregas stands out, while striker Robin Van Persie and midfielder Gilberto are also noticable absentees.

The six injured or suspended are: Mathieu Flamini (thigh), Alex Hleb (hamstring), Cesc Fabregas (suspended), Abou Diaby (back), Gilberto (fatigue) and striker Robin van Persie (Knee).

Wenger said: "Hleb came back with a hamstring injury. So once again we lose someone during this [international] period. I think he'll be out for 21 days. Flamini came back with a little thigh problem too. That will be one week maximum.

"Senderos is available but Cesc is suspended. Diaby has a back problem from the Slavia Prague game and he'll be out for three weeks. Robin van Persie is not back and he will not be back for Sevilla either. Gilberto will return very, very late. In fact he only comes back on Friday. So, as for the rest of the squad, we'll see."

Clearly this will be giving the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger something to think about, while Frank Barlow is simply pleased to be able to put eleven players on the pitch.

Amoung those available could be Emile Heskey who has resumed training following his broken foot. He is likely to be on the bench at best for the game at the Emirates.
