Had the Latics lost that game against the scousers 4-0 then we would have required a 4-1 win yesterday to survive.
Clearly Paul's foresight into the survival race was superior and thankfully he has steered the club in the right direction once more.
Well done to Mr Jewell and his staff for producing yet another peice of Wigan Athletic history.
