Alcaraz claims Sunderland goal

The 28 year old has impressed during his start to life in the Premier league with the Latics and is keen to claim the goal against Sunderland.

After scoring against Italy at the World Cup for Paraguay, Alcaraz is no stanger to netting important goals and he is keen to stress the equaliser on Saturday was indeed his.

Alcaraz said: "It was definitely my goal. Tom's volley was good but it's mine to keep. The most important thing, though, was that we took something out of the game.

"One point is better than nothing - although I still feel we should have got the other two. It was definitely two points lost."

The Latics face the difficult visit of Manchester City to the DW Stadium this Sunday and Alcaraz will be hoping to grab another goal and help the Latics maintain their impressive track record against the money men.
