Agent speaks of Valencia interest

There have been strong rumours linking United with both Valencia and Wilson Palacios over recent weeks, and Herrera believes it will take a lot of money to tempt Valencia to move from the JJB.

Herrera said: "It is impossible to stop the improvement in a player's career when Manchester and Liverpool are in the middle. They have been following him for the past months. There are also two more teams interested.

"They [Liverpool and Manchester United] have followed him for seven months. But he will not come cheap. Last week, Bruce commented £5 million was not enough for the player."

Valencia has been in good form for the Latics recently and during his time with the club has become a firm fans favourite. Supporters would be no doubt sad to see him leave.
