·      Arsenal secured two big wins in their chase for third place over the Easter weekend

·      Mikel Arteta struck a stunning winner in 1-0 victory over Man City, while Theo Walcott, Robin van Persie, and Yossi Benayoun were all on target in a comprehensive 3-0 win over Wolves

·      Arteta has scored seven goals this season from 40 attempts at goal with 63% on target

·      Walcott is one ahead with 8 goals this season, from 70 shots at goal with 66% on target, while van Persie remains the league’s top scorer with 27 goals in the Premier League

·      Arteta covered the most ground for Arsenal in both games, taking his total for the season to 181.74 miles while at Arsenal, and 187 miles in total including his time at Everton, an incredible average of 6.23 miles per game

·      As well as being the league’s top scorer, van Persie is en route to being the first player to break the 200 mile barrier,having run 193.76 miles this season

·      Wigan put in a bid for shock result of the season with their 1-0 win over Manchester United

·      Shaun Maloney scored a brilliant twenty yard winner after the Latics had been unlucky not to take at least a point away from Chelsea over the Easter weekend, when Mohamed Diame scored in their 2-1 defeat

·      Wigan out ran United by 59.02 miles to 57.92 miles in that game, with James McArthur covering the most ground with 6.66 miles

·      Maloney has scored just twice in nine appearances for Wigan this season, with 80% of shots on target, but will get fewer more important goals in his career

·      Diame has also concentrated more on defensive work this season, winning 65 tackles, an impressive 83% of all tackles attempted this season
