Preview: Christmas rush Continues at Borough

A national newspaper summed up Boro as the most Jekell and Hyde Premiership side in years, due to their unbelievably inconsistent form.
Henri Camara: Returns to Starting Line-Up

Not only this, but Middlesbrough tend to get results against the top teams and struggle against the lesser teams fighting against relegation. Last season Boro beat Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea at home whilst this season they have lost to both Sheffield United and Watford.

And to add to all this, Boro have scored just 13 times this season.

Boro currently sit 16th in the Premiership on 16 points and have failed to win in their last four Premiership games. Their home form, although again inconsistent, has kept them above the relegation zones winning four games and losing three.

Wigan's away form is the mirror of Saturday's opponents home form, winning three and losing four, so the seasons form up till now doesn't help predict who will win this weekends intriguing encounter.

Wigan manager Paul Jewell knows of the
Leighton Baines: Continues to Deputise for 'Arry
threat Boro will pose to his Latic's troop: "Middlesbrough have some fabulous players and on their day, as they have shown this season, they can be formidable. It's a great stadium and the support, when it gets behind the team, can create a tremendous atmosphere.

"But we're going there with the intention of silencing the crowd and we've got to have the same belief in ourselves we did on Wednesday. If we have that and the players give me everything, I cannot really ask for any more."

Only one change is expected to Wigan's starting eleven, with Henri Camara returning to the front line in place of the suspended Emile Heskey. Camara was rested during the mid-weeks 2-0 victory over West Ham (a record third consecutive victory at Upton Park by the way).

Leighton Baines will continue to deputise for Arjan De Zeeuw, but it is hoped that wingaer Valencia will be fit enough to take a place on the bench in replace of Camara.

Boro have no injuries to any of their first team squad, and therefore have a full squad to choose from this weekend.

Ones To Watch

Its hard to choose any of the Boro strikers, although Yakubu on his day can be a real handful. Winger Stewart Downing is a danger on the wings. Other than that.....Can't really think of anyone.

Pundits Prediction

Mark Lawrenson has gone for a 2-1 victory for Boro. To be fair, not many people can predict a Boro match. However....

My Prediction

Halleluja! The 2-0 victory over West Ham was the first game this season i predicted correct! This game, however, depends on which Boro side turns up. Either team could win it, but i'm going for...
