•Fernando Torres first Premier League goal in six months rounded off three points for Chelsea in their last Premier League game
 
•Torres has just three goals in the Premier League this season, having had 47 shots at goal with 53% on target
 
•Torres has averaged a shot at goal every 32 minutes this season, compared to the league’s most frequent shooter Edin Dzeko who has averaged a shot every 19 minutes thirty seconds
 
•Two goals from Branislav Ivanovic and one from Daniel Sturridge made it 4-2 to Chelsea after 90 minutes
 
•Sturridge’s goal was his tenth of the season coming from 69 shots at goal with 54% on target and a shot every 27 minutes
 
•Sturridge has needed seven shots for every goal this season, while Torres has needed 15.67 shots per goal
 
•A shock stat shows Chelsea’s new defender Gary Cahill to be the most lethal finisher in the league. Discounting players who have had fewer than twenty shots at goal this season, Cahill has the best shooting accuracy, having got 85% of twenty shots at goal on target.
 
•He is joined in the top five by midfielder Frank Lampard who is fourth in shooting accuracy having got 76% of 46 shots on target
 
•Wigan are fighting for survival after beating Stoke 2-0 to make it 13 points from their last eight Premier League matches. The same form all season would have seen them on 50 points by now and vying for a Champions League place
 
•Goals from Victor Moses and Antolin Alcaraz gave the Latics a vital three points
 
•Moses has had 68 shots on goal this season, the 12th highest of any player in the EA SPORTS Player Performance4 Index, but returning just four goals. Moses is also third in the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index for dribbles completed with 88
 
•Defender Alcaraz’s goal was his first in the Premier League this season, with the Paraguayan concentrating more on defensive duties having won 78% of tackles and made 59 interceptions this season
 
•Maynor Figueroa continues to lead the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index for tackles won, having won 73 so far this season
 
•Meanwhile James McCarthy has made 25 clearances this season, the second highest number for a midfielder in the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index
