Times Column: Fantastic Away Point

Last updated : 26 August 2007 By Paul Farrington

... pointless newspaper articles curtailing the latest so called development.

And despite some superb results at the Boleyn Ground over the past three years a point is more than enough for our efforts on Saturday.

Paul Scharner's goal was wonderful (you can see his over head goal here) and was worthy of winning any game, but with the Hammers having strengthened (hopefully legally) over the summer, it was certainly a point gained.

We're currently sat fourth in the table - a distance away from the doom and gloom of 20th that many pundits tipped us for in the close season - and the talk from the club is of a mid-table finish at worst, there is a revolution going on in Wigan.

The media clouds of negativity that were hanging over the JJB Stadium throughout the summer are clearing and Chris Hutchings and his team are winning over critics with solid performances and some stylish attacking to boot.

Long may the Hutch revolution continue.
