We all know Latics are having a bad season but we know that we ain't going up & were not going down & that a mid table place will regrettably have to do.

Luckily however Paul Jewell has started the task of telling players whether they have a future at the club & he is also searching for new blood possibly on free transfers at the end of the season eg. Mansfields highly rated striker Chris Greenacre & Bristol City's Tony Thorpe. Both are players I would like to see at the club, especially if Neil Roberts stays at Hull & if Simon Haworth goes to Cardiff which I feel is inevitable!

I think Paul Jewell, despite fans calling for his head has done a decent job considering what a mess Steve Bruce left the club in at the end of the season when he gave away at least 5 first team players & many more fringe squad members to our main rivals such as Oldham.
Mr Benson also made some crazy decisions when buying very average replacements for silly amounts of cash such as McCulloch & Brannan.

Anyway, not to worry. We've got next season to look forward to which hopefully should be a championship year and not only that, we might have a good FA Cup run & hopefully do over some local rivals like Noblot or Blackburn (well I did say hopefully!)
