Tottenham Reaction: I'm sorry

We apologise to our fans for that first 45 minutes. It wasn't what we had talked about and certainly not what we had planned. Once we went behind, it was always going to be difficult. But don't take anything away from Spurs - they played very well.

We think we have a decent enough dressing room to stay in the league, and we are optimistic we can do that. But we have to pull ourselves together and stop this slide as soon as possible. We have to try to regain some of the confidence which we have lost in the last few weeks.

It's never easy when you lose your leader in any team or wherever you work. But it's up to the boys now to pull themselves back into shape and just start getting results.

We've just got to look forward and forget about what happened in the past. We've got to get our heads together and I think the international break has come at a good time for us.

I'm happy with the scoreline but the thing I'm more happy about is that in the four matches I've been coach, we've kept three clean sheets. Once you get clean sheets, the players play much better and with more confidence.

The team attacks well but we have to be good defensively as well - that gives us more solidity and means we'll perform better.

I'm especially satisfied with the three points because sometimes you get the three points and the teams around you also win, so you don't really go up the table. I'm happy we've gone up the table, with the impression the team gave and the solidity we showed and those are the three main points.
