I felt that we have been too milky of late, and that shows in the last three
games where we took the lead but only have one point to show for it.

We've worked hard all week defensively on the training ground and I think we've improved. Without getting too carried away we have got to use this result as a springboard.

Our success over the last few years is based on being hard to beat and awkward to play against, and I have seen signs today that we are getting better at that.

I'm sure Steve's got his scouts here watching and matches at this level are thoroughly covered, so he will know what is going on. I thought both Baines and Heskey were outstanding today. Our third goal [which Baines assisted] was similar to a certain Ashley Cole where he runs inside to provide the chance.

You don't give yourselves a chance when you go 2-0 down after four minutes.

When you go away from home you hope to keep it tight and quiet the home crowd down, but we did the opposite.

Man-for-man, we didn't compete well enough and in the second half we lost our shape trying to chase the game.
