Jewell's reaction to Crewe hammering

"It was outstanding really wasn't it! We started like a house on fire, played some fantastic football and we didn't really have enough goals to show for our superiority. We got the third goal, and you think it should be all over but suddenly they [Crewe] were back in the game for a little bit, but it was a great performance really."

Bullard - Stunning Strike
"It was a great goal by Jimmy Bullard, but the all round play and with the amount of chances we had, it was almost nice to watch! It was a very good team performance. I felt we controlled the game, and we got in their faces. They just came of a three match winning run, and they're a good footballing team and tonight we more than matched them for that. There were all sorts of efforts on goal tonight."

"I thought the crowd were excellent tonight, they were being entertained, but I also felt that the response that we asked for was there as far as noise was concerned."

"Baines is looking like a real proper player, I think he only plays away games for England! He was outstanding, I felt. But he's been like that all season, and he's getting better and better as his game goes by. Lee McCulloch is not a natural wide player, so when he tucks inside, we encourage Leighton to go and overlap him. Tonight, his crossing and his confidence was excellent.

"We have a couple of injuries after tonight, Emerson Thome has a bit of a tight hamstring, as has Lee McCulloch, and Jimmy Bullard has a bit of groin problem, but we're in training tomorrow so we'll have to see how they are. Hopefully they'll be fit for the weekend."
