"I'm disappointed to lose the game. We created numerous opportunities.

"I don't know how we lost the game, but I do know we lost the game. We didn't show enough desire in both boxes.

"We passed the ball well, we played well and played at a good tempo, but we didn't have that killer instinct in both boxes.

"I don't know what the possession count was, or the number of chances we had, but to come away with not scoring, I'm scratching my head really."

Dario Gradi

"I thought we were outstanding really, considering the first 20 minutes or so we were chasing the ball.

"With the pace we've got with the three boys up front, sooner or later we were going to get in, the only question then is are they going to finish?

"They (Wigan) were slick with their passing, their movement and were strong, and looked better players than the ones we come up against every week.

"But we came through it and gradually got adjusted to the pace of the game and started to cause Wigan problems."
