Huddersfield Reaction: Robins critical of winger Hammill

Last updated : 03 November 2013 By Paul Farrington

Immediately as his number was shown in the second half the winger threw an on-field tantrum as he made his way over to the touch line.

His antics came much to the amusement of the home crowd who reveled in Hammill's humiliting antics.

Huddersfield boss Mark Robins however was none to impressed. Speaking after the game he said: "Adam is going to end up paying us money to play for us because he's being fined every week.

"Nothing really surprises me with Adam. That's just him - he needs to grow up. He's just been to see me and apologised and that's what happens - I fine him and we get on with it, until the next time."

One aspect of the game that did please Robins was the manner in which his team performed against the Latics.

Despite being on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline the Terriers played very well and did not give up until the last.

"I thought we did well," he added. "To come to Wigan and have the lion's share of possession is very good.

"But obviously the over-riding emotion is one of disappointment because we have gifted them two goals. They have not had to work at all for their goals,

"We're playing against a good team who have just come down from the Premier League, the FA Cup holders, a team in the Europa League and we've given a decent account of ourselves.

"We are a work in progress but we can defend better and make better decisions at times.

"Overall I'm pleased but also disappointed that we've not taken at least a point - and maybe even three."
