Crystal Palace 1 Wigan Athletic 1

Firstly I would like to congratulate myself on the prediction I made. My predictions of recent times have been very poor, as you can see by the placing of the Wiganer.net side in the BTM table.

I predicted that it would be a 1-1 draw with Jason Roberts getting the Wigan goal. It did end 1-1 but Ellington got the Wigan goal.

The game by all accounts was not a classic and if anything Wigan we're lucky to come home with anything.

The Latics took the lead through Nathan Ellington just before half time after his shot deflected off Popovic and over Vaeson.

Granville brought Palace back into the game with 11 minutes to go before Jason Roberts and Jason Jarrett we're stupidly sent off.

Jewell was very unhappy with the decisions made by the referee and may be landed in hot water for his comments.

Jewell said: "I read in the programme that this referee wants to be in the Premiership, but I'd like to see how he handles some aggressive players there. I don't think he even saw what happened between Roberts and Popovic, but the crowd made him think something had gone on."

Here's how the table stands.

Thankfully it is still in our hands, but the suspensions of Jason Roberts and Jason Jarrett will certainly not help things.

If Millwall win their game in hand they will kick West Ham out the playoffs and the mighty Latics will remain in fifth.
