"It is a very pleasing result, and it was a hard fought team performance. We could have wrapped it up at end on the counter attack, and it would have been nice to have got a second goal but we got there in the end.

Hutch: Hard fought victory
"We want to be pleasing to watch but we want to get results as well. We're pleased with the three points and the performance but it is only one game. We need to focus on Saturday when we play Sunderland. You always to try to win your home games, and try to get something out of your away games.

"He [Sibierski] scored on Saturday, and again tonight, and that's what he is there for so we are very pleased for him. He's got a bit of cramp because he missed a lot of pre-season so with a thigh strain, and it's caught up with him a little bit, although he'll be fine.

"Sibierski is a very good finisher, he has that coolness and calmness about him, but he was in the right place at the right time when he needed to be and he popped up for the goal.

"There are no heroes tonight though, although everyone is if you know what I mean. No one is bigger than the team and they all play for one another."

"We can't have any complaints about the result, that's for sure, I didn't feel we were as positive as we should have been. We came here wanting to win the game and picked the same team as Saturday because they had done so well and looked very positive and a real threat.

"We had flashes in the first half but not enough consistent enough and we didn't show enough quality in our final ball. We didn't look like scoring really and that's the big disappointment.

"We didn't score enough goals away from home last year and we highlighted this as a game where we could come and score goals but we didn't do enough to deserve anything from the game."
