From the Stands

What was it like the last time we won a game at home? Cause i can't remember! True our home form hasn't been as good as our away form but that is because our away form has been brilliant this season!

In fact, our away form has been better than our home form for many years.

Also, i know we are all sick of seeing Jimmy BUllard taking all the set-pieces, but it is Jewell who is telling him to take them.

First half started poorly, with John Filan keeping us in the game i thoguht with two great saves. After that it was all Wigan, with Roberts among others goign close but not close enough.

Second half started the best way possible, as The Super Swede headed home. After that we should have gone on to win the game comfortably, and if Johansson had put away that chance he had, i think we would have gone on and got a third.

We just ain't getting the luck in front of goal. Jewell must sign a striker and midfielder who can both find the back on the net.

Three times in a row now we have thrown away a one goal lead at home. We just can't find that second goal that would kill off most teams.

It has to be said though that you would think we'd have had enough to beat a team fighting relegation and of whom are rubbish away from home.

Newcastle are next up. Hopefully our great away form will continue and we pick up the three points. If we don't, i think Europe will be out of our reach.

At this time of the season, for us at least, its points not performances that we need. Although we got outplayed for alot of the time during Saturday, i thought that Heskey's height could create something.

This was a valuable point, seeing as the other two clubs were fighting with also drew, and it ends a great week for us.

I've been impressed with Wigan htis season, and i hope we get to play you again next season.
